Vision Ed Inc is a nonprofit education organization that brings project-based STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programming to students in underrepresented and underserved communities throughout the New York City area. To-date, we have served over 2,000 children in grades K-12, through original and collaborative programming.
We are looking for qualified Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Instructors to teach social-emotional skills to students in elementary and/or high school in Brooklyn. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the social and emotional health of students in NYC public schools. You will be teaching from an original curriculum designed by Vision Ed Inc. This position will require the instructor to be adaptive and work closely with the Program Director to communicate any additional needs for the program.
This SEL program is part of a larger, state-funded grant program, for which Vision Ed Inc is the lead provider. The instructor will work closely with the Executive Director, Program Director, Site Coordinator, and other school staff and administration.
Pay is $40-50 per hour. Classes are generally about 40-45 minutes long and the number of classes and days of the week will be determined on the placement that you receive. We are looking for someone to start in the fall of the 2022-23 school year.
