About Queens Childcare Network (QCCN):
The Queens Childcare Network (QCCN) oversees more than 70 NYC DOH-regulated in-home childcare providers throughout Queens. We serve families and children from infancy through age 12, ensuring a safe environment, developmentally appropriate curriculum, and ongoing professional development for our childcare providers. Our mission includes advocacy and support for the families within our network.
About the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP):
The CACFP is a federally funded program that provides reimbursements for nutritious meals and snacks to eligible children and adults in participating care centers. QCCN assists in-home childcare providers with enrolling in CACFP, provides ongoing nutrition education, and ensures compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Position Overview:
The Health & Safety (HS) Monitor is a vital role within QCCN, responsible for ensuring that our affiliated in-home childcare providers meet the highest standards of health, safety, and nutrition. Reporting to the HS Program Coordinator, the HS Monitor will conduct monthly site visits, provide strength-based coaching, and assist with the recruitment and support of childcare providers. This role requires a deep understanding of childcare regulations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our mission.
