    Position Summary:

    Support fundraising activities of the organization, including events, grants, and stewardship. Provide administrative and clerical support. In addition to regular tasks, will help with all special projects and campaigns as needed. Reports directly to the VP of External Affairs, and works closely with Development and Communications Departments.

    Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Support External Affairs staff to help create a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization
    • Assist VP of External Affairs in working with the Executive Team and all department heads to meet annual development fundraising goals
    • Assist with mission-driven events, including all logistics; vendor/client interactions; marketing and ticket sales; and brand, collateral, and printing
    • Assist with research, data gathering, and writing successful grants (public and foundation)
    • Support External Affairs Department and fundraising efforts, including moves management and stewardship of sponsors, donors, major gifts & capital investors, including benefit fulfillment
    • Database management and data entry, including payment processing and reconciliation with Accounting Department
    • Coordinate and execute development department administrative duties
    • Work collaboratively and liaise with all departments throughout the organization, in addition to the development and communications staff
    • Support Donor Fulfillment, including thank you and tax receipts, etc
    • Assist with general written correspondence for the department
    • Additional tasks as needed

    Success Factors:

    • Self-starter
    • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
    • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects and deadlines
    • Enjoyment of working with diverse work styles and staff
    • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; grants experience a plus
    • Knowledge and experience with databases and Microsoft Office
    • Interest or experience in event planning, coordination, logistics, and execution
    • Willingness to roll up sleeves, do the work, solve problems, and have fun

    Qualifications:

    • BA preferred, though combination of education and experience accepted
    • 1-3 years experience with nonprofit work is a plus
    • 1-3 years fundraising experience
    • Experience working successfully in an office setting

    Schedule & Location:

    • 40 hours per week, 8:30am-5pm
    • Hybrid/Remote – must reside within WA, OR, AK, ID
    • Some evening and weekend work

    Compensation Package:

    Salary of $58,000 – 65,000 Full Time, DOE.
