Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Services Manager is an integral member of the Advancement Office. The Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues in the advancement office (major gifts, annual giving, alumni relations, parent relations, and communications), as well as colleagues across GSB, to build and maintain the school’s donor database to help ensure the office’s success increasing alumni and parent giving by elevating the profile of the Annual Fund and building momentum as the school moves toward its 125th anniversary in 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of progressive fundraising experience, preferably in an independent school. Raiser’s Edge experience strongly preferred but training can be provided to those new to the system. Candidates with relevant experience in related industries will be considered.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creative thinking, an eagerness, and ability to interact with parents, alumni, and other friends of the school. S/he will be a dynamic representative of Gill who has a genuine appreciation for GSB’s vision and key strategic initiatives; along with an ability to communicate these in a compelling manner.
The incumbent should demonstrate an ability to create and manage goals, objectives, identified deliverables and timelines. Previous experience with databases, excel, pivot tables, and data management preferred. Superb interpersonal communications skills with colleagues, parents, and alumni. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Volunteer management experience in an independent school or higher education setting.
A proven ability to work both independently and as a team member, prioritizing work and meeting deadlines while managing multiple tasks and maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment is essential. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual who has shown resourcefulness, excellent data analysis and report generation skills.
