The Immigrant Defenders Law Center (“ImmDef”) is a next-generation, social justice law firm that provides high-quality representation and legal services to immigrants in Southern California. ImmDef, along with other partner organizations, will be administrators of a new immigration legal service program, Represent L.A., in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Immigration Affairs and the City of Los Angeles. ImmDef will lead the removal defense services within this coalition and will work with other legal service providers to provide zealous, universal representation to Angelenos, prioritizing those who are in detention.
ImmDef seeks a full-time Program Coordinator to support the service delivery of the Represent L.A. program. As a member of ImmDef’s team, the Program Coordinator will have the opportunity to help develop and advance our universal representation, mission-driven organization. The Program Coordinator will support and assist in the launch, continuity, and expansion of Represent L.A, to increase the program’s reach and impact. They will also work closely with the Represent L.A. program team, which includes local government, legal services providers, and community partners and advocates, to advance universal representation initiatives in Los Angeles County. This position will report to an ImmDef Managing Attorney and will work in coordination with other lead staff at partner organizations.
Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
1. Subcontractor management
2. Technical assistance provision for Represent L.A. subcontractor network
3. Gathering, synthesis, and analysis of Represent L.A. program data
4. Support long-term reach and impact of Represent L.A. program and universal representation mission.
5. Ad hoc assignment coordination

Classification and Work Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The standard work week for this position is 35 hours with the ability to opt into an alternative workweek schedule.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Travel
Occasional travel to partner organization sites will be required. Valid driver’s license required.
