Mental Health Therapist for Chicago Girls

This role will focus on a new program in partnership with the City of Chicago designed to reach girls at the greatest risk of entering the juvenile justice system. 

Mental Health Therapist Key Responsibilities:

• Individual Mentorship and Instruction: Conduct weekly group mental wellness lessons with girls. Develop personalized plans and monitor progress, ensuring each participant achieves their goals.
• 1:1 Counseling: Work 1:1 with a select group of students over a 3 month period
• Capstone Project Facilitation: Lead and manage a capstone group project involving all assigned participants. Facilitate weekly group meetings to plan and execute capstone projects, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Planning and Preparation: Dedicate five hours per week to planning and preparing lesson plans, capstone project activities, and individual follow-up sessions. Tailor activities to meet the specific needs and interests of each participant.
• Program Coordination and Reporting: Meet with the Program Manager weekly to discuss progress, challenges, and upcoming activities (1 hour per week).Maintain accurate records of participant progress, attendance, and program outcomes.
• Follow-Up and Support: Provide ongoing support and mentorship to participants, addressing any personal or emotional challenges they may face. Conduct follow-up sessions to ensure sustained progress and engagement.
