    About the Role: Join Girls Spark as a nonprofit intern this fall semester! As an intern for Girls Spark, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector, meet inspiring people, and contribute to empowering young girls in our community. We are seeking a motivated intern to assist with diverse projects and assignments, ranging from programming and marketing to operations and administration. Reporting to the Executive Director of Girls Spark, this position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing a variety of valuable skills in a supportive, non-profit environment.     About Girls Spark: Established in 2018 by and for teen girls, the mission of Girls Spark is to provide middle and high school girls with a safe, supportive, empowering environment where they can learn, collaborate and overcome adversity in facing today’s social issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide coordination support for Girls Spark events and programs.
    • Support marketing efforts through campaign coordination and development of newsletters.
    • Assist in managing social media platforms and create engaging content.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions for program development and fundraising initiatives.
    • Aid in administrative tasks such as data entry, and responding to inquiries.
    • Attend virtual and occasional in-person meetings and events.

    Qualifications:

    • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in nonprofit management, social work, or a related field.
    • Passion for empowering middle and high school girls and supporting non-profit organizations.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with content creation and social media platforms (Canva, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Google platforms and Microsoft Office.
    • Candidates must be located in the Delaware County, PA area, and available for occasional in-person meetings.
