ABOUT THE FASHION CONNECTION

TFC is a new, volunteer-run nonprofit empowering members of the United States ethical and sustainable fashion community by creating connections across the field, promoting conscious consumption, and producing solutions to industry issues.

As a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit with a national scope, we are uniquely poised to support knowledge-building initiatives and critical advocacy endeavors. Through the TFC online Platform we help those passionate about engaging to advance sustainable fashion catch up on the people, resources, and conversations that support their vision!

SUPPORTING THE EXECUTION OF OUR NEW CONTENT STRATEGY

This year The Fashion Connection worked with a highly skilled Content Strategy expert to develop a strategy for all of our content. We are expanding our Communication Team to support its execution. We have many resources to support new team members here, and this fall our focus will be on getting all of the building blocks in place for this strategy to run seamlessly (yes, bad pun!) for the duration of 2023. Team members should be interested in staying on for 2023 or committed to supporting the onboarding of their replacement.

As our Community Coordinator you will advise on, write, and/or edit blog posts, email series, fact sheets, and other long-form content. You will also keep the Platform and the content there up to date, which includes organizing guides and research, updating and organizing sustainability reports, managing featured threads, and highlighting and commenting on different threads. In this role you will support our Communications Team by sharing content from the Platform and integrating their content. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter looking to grow their network and knowledge in the ethical and sustainable fashion space!
