Worcester Homecoming is seeking an intern who will assist in the management and production of its annual event, Homecoming 2023. This is a unique opportunity for someone to be a part of a collaborative effort to build a network of Central MA alumni - notable individuals who grew up or spent time in the region, and moved elsewhere - and reconnect them to the region’s recent momentum and growth.
The primary responsibility of this role will be the development of content for our alumni network and attendees of Homecoming 2023. In this position, the right candidate will have the opportunity to exercise their skills in writing, editing, design, and project management. They will be expected to work independently to execute critical pieces of our content strategy, while also working collaboratively across teams to manage creative processes. The ideal candidate will excel at both content development and editorial management.
This position reports to the Executive Director and will support the work of the Executive Committee and Subcommittees, especially the Marketing Subcommittee. The position will have direct access to communication executives at Fallon Health, the Hanover Insurance Group, and PENTA Communications, as well as other anchor institutions and businesses in Central MA.
Worcester Homecoming 2023 is set for Sept. 27 - 29, 2023. There is an opportunity to extend this role beyond the academic year.

Homecoming is anchored by an annual, multi-day event where alumni return to Worcester and experience its inspiring energy firsthand.

Hours: 8-10 hours per week, flexible schedule with approval
Compensation: $15 per hour
This is essentially a remote position that requires wi-fi access and may include in-person meetings in Worcester, MA from time to time. Transportation is not required for this position.
