UNITED STATES YOUTH FORUM

  • Missão

The mission of the United States Youth Forum (USYF) is to empower young people to speak up about issues occurring in their local communities and to connect them together as part of a larger network of young people across the United States. We seek to involve young people in dialogue, especially with people in positions of power. These spaces - where policy is shaped and defined - lack strong youth voices that speak on behalf of a younger generation. Our purpose is to build a youth network strong enough to push for inclusion in these spaces of power.

    Sobre Nós

To achieve our mission we seek to build a broad and diverse membership base across the United States. Our volunteers are located all across the U.S. and can tap into a large variety of communities to continue to grow our network. In collaboration with our volunteers, we create local connections both with organizations and with local activists and organizers. Through partnerships with other youth-led organizations, youth activists, and with youth governments at universities, colleges, and high schools we are fulfilling our pledge to be a connection hub between different youth groups, individuals, and organizations.

We feature youth voices on our website and social media channels through articles, opinion pieces, interviews, and videos. We also make sure we highlight other youth-led organizations and have youth voices present within all events that we run. Our workshops, Days of Actions, fundraising drives, and other events are run by young people and place youth voices at the forefront.
