Free Pentecostal Fellowship in Kenya ( FPFK) is an evangelical church registered in Kenya. It operates in 36 regions in Kenya basically covering all the country. It has 418 local churches, and over 1500 branch churches with a combined membership of over 1.5 million. FPFK was established independently by the Norwegian and Swedish missionaries in the 1950s and 1960s respectively. The missionaries operated independent of each other until in 1997 when they merged and FPFK as a national church was formed. The church is headed by the National board, which is principal policy making body, a national secretariat headed by an elected general secretary who is the secretary of the national board. lower the that is the regional councils then local churches and finally the branch churches akk which coordinate activities at their respectful levels. FPFK is committed to holistic development of an individual who is the foundation of the family that ends up building the society. It is committed to realising the SDGs and with that has a fully functional social ministry that oversees implementation of programs and projects. It has been engaged and runs projects in peace, gender equality and equity, children, youth empowerment, environment, human rights, freedom of religion and belief etc. FPPK has made great achievements in empowering marginalised communities and realising peaceful co existence among communities as well as seeing mant children get education.
