Sobre Nós

The Police Assisted Addiction & Recovery Initiative (PAARI) is a nonprofit organization that provides critical training, support, and resources to law enforcement agencies seeking to reduce overdoses and create non-arrest pathways to treatment and recovery. Since June 2015, PAARI has grown into a nationwide movement of 606 police departments in 34 states. Our public safety partners recognize that addiction is a chronic disease and we cannot arrest our way out of a public health crisis. Our goals are to save lives, prevent overdose deaths, and dismantle barriers to evidenced-based treatment with the help of our nation’s law enforcement officers. Our programs and partners have saved thousands of lives, changed police culture, and reshaped the national conversation about the opioid epidemic. Learn more at www.paariusa.org.
