The Disability Awareness Council

We depend on our volunteers to run organizational operations smoothly. There are technology, administrative, or event planning positions available for potential applicants of all backgrounds. Our volunteers receive excellent mentorship to assist in running operations smoothly. Yearly events are hosted by the organization at various locations to raise concerns about disability issues that our communities face. Interested attendees should register on our events page and find the appropriate event.

The Disability Awareness Council became a private non profit 501(c)(3) in 1991 to serve communities in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and beyond.

Our office is located in the heart of Chapel Hill at 2501 Homestead Road. To schedule appointments or to contact one of our representatives, phone and e-mail methods are preferred.
