AFS-USA works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools and communities thrrough a global volunteer partnership. AFS has been successfully hosting and sending teachers and high school students on foreign exchanges since 1947. AFS is a not-for-profit, international and intercultural organization.

Hope some of your contacts will be hosting some of our AFS international exchange HS students for the 2023-24 school year. They represent 80 foreign countries. Many of them are full scholarship students. You will be amazed at their many interests and talents. Go to www.afsusa.org/host to see their mini-bios. One may also begin a hosting application at this website. Apply now as schools have quotas, This may assure that your student will be able to go to your school in your district.

• Meet Cheikhna: a lively, intelligent, and aspiring young man! Cheikhna loves learning, and he is intrigued by the stars, planets, black holes, and anything related to Astronomy. His favorite activity is Debate Club, since it helps him fight against his shyness and and teaches him to stand up and speak for himself. Artistic pursuits also push Cheikna out of his comfort zone, like when he and his classmates 'killed it' in a dance choreography last year! In the US, Cheikna is especially looking forward to improving his cultural awareness
