The Laramie Soup Kitchen always welcomes new volunteers!
Volunteers are an integral part of our mission. They help staff in the kitchen with food preparation, serving meals, organizing food donations, keeping the space clean and safe for our guests, and more.
Volunteer opportunities are available: Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Visit our website: https://www.laramiesoupkitchen.org/volunteer to complete your Volunteer Application and receive the link to sign up for shifts. To ensure the best volunteer experience, you will be required to sign up every time you volunteer (no walk-in volunteers).
Want to bring a group of four or more? Please email Volunteers@LaramieSoupKitchen.org to discuss the possibilities.
Volunteers are always encouraged to share the day's meal with our guests; a hot, nutritious lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each weekday.
What to Expect:
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. You will help prepare items for the meal including hot items, salads, desserts, extras, etc.
10:30 a.m. - Noon. You'll either help with serving or as a general kitchen volunteer.
Noon - 1:30 p.m. More opportunities to serve meals or help in the kitchen, including cleaning.
1:30 p.m. -2:30 p.m. This is our clean-up shift. You'll help package to-go meals and get the space ready for the next day.
Volunteering at the Laramie Soup Kitchen provides not only the opportunity to serve one's community, but also meet new people and build relationships with staff, fellow volunteers, and guests.
Located in the lower-level of St. Matthew's Episcopal Cathedral. The entrance is off the parking lot north of the church.
