About CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA:

Founded in 1999, CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA is one of the development organizations, non-profit making organization, NGO working vulnerable and disadvantaged children to fight poverty and improve the living standards of children in the rural areas of Zambia. We work with children in the rural areas because mostly they do not have access to essential resources to improve their lives.

At CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA, we strive to alleviate poverty and champion child rights, working tirelessly to break the cycle of poverty. We believe that by collaborating with families and communities, we can create sustainable support systems that empower children to live and thrive. We work to promote education,health,nutrition,water and sanitation,SRHR,child and community empowerment, disability and fighting HIV/AIDS.

Volunteer positions:

CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA is looking for mature, committed, passionate and tactical Resource Mobilization Managers to join our team on a voluntary basis. The role includes finding and securing financial and material resources to support CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA’s programmes and activities.

We also encourage retired couples, individuals, families, schools etc. The volunteers should have negation skills that would assist CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA obtain the support needed. Volunteer should have the ability to work individualistically, as a team and remotely. As a resource mobilization volunteer, you should have strong understanding of fundraising ideologies and donor engagement approaches and tactics. However, we do not necessarily look at the skill you have as long as you have a way of mobilizing resources for the organization.

Having a skill would be an added advantage towards resource mobilization .What we are looking for are people with a passion for the work we do with the vulnerable and disadvantaged children we work with and their families.

As a volunteer you will be required to identify funders,donors,sponsors partners for collaborations. This could be foundations,donors,companies,individuals,families,groups,schools etc. Really the strategy is yours along as it can help us reach our intended goals.

You will be required to negotiate for support on behalf of CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA, connect and link these groups to CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA.As a volunteer will be required to identify and implement resource mobilization skills and strategies that support CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA mission and vision so as to improve child, family and community development by fighting poverty. You will be required to maintain relationships with the would-be foundations,donors,funders,companies,individulas,old couples,families,groups,schools etc.

Asa volunteer you should have excellent communication, negotiating and interacting skills. Where project proposals are required, the volunteer/s will contact CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA for proposal preparations to the prospective donors. As a volunteer/s you will be required to monitor and report on fundraising activities and outcomes.

Where necessary you will be required to collaborate with CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA team to develop convincing communication materials for fundraising strategies. If possible previous experience in resource mobilization/fundraising will an added advantage to you.

As you volunteer with us, you will have the benefit of working flexible hours and to work remotely and you will be able to contribute to a cause that impacts many children, their families and the community at large.
