At The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), we're passionate about our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS volunteers help carry out this mission in so many ways: supporting patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and our community, driving policy advocacy, participating in our campaigns, and helping LLS build much needed capacity

Team In Training (TNT) is the world’s largest endurance sports training program for charity and the flagship fundraising campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Since its inception in 1988, TNT has raised more than $1.5 billion, trained more than 650,000 people, and helped LLS invest more than $1 billion in research to advance breakthrough cancer treatments that are saving lives today. Team In Training offers unparalleled support for teammates to have a life changing journey with the aid of experienced coaches, an inclusive community from start to finish line, and world class fundraising tools to help teammates turn training into treatment for patients.

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to secure new partners within the community as teammates and corporate teams. Executive Committee Members help LLS drive NEW REVENUE and help Team In Training achieve its financial goals.


Position Tasks

Personal

·        Personal $5K+ fundraising goal

·        Be familiar with TNT portfolio events

 

Company

·        Lead company’s team fundraising efforts with a goal of $10K+

In The Community

·        Bring a minimum of 3-5 new corporate fundraising team leads with the capacity to raise $10k+ each.

·        Identify at least one potential Rookie Challenge Competitor

 

Desired Skills

·        A sincere interest in making a difference in the lives of blood cancer patients

·        Willingness to share information about Team In Training and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with personal and corporate contacts and seek the involvement and participation of other

·        Strong communication and relationship building skills

·        Strong goal-orientation

·        Assertive and comfortable in a leadership role

Time Commitment

·        January to December of Calendar year. 5-7 hours per week.

·        Must be able to attend 6 Committee Meetings in calendar year.

Training
