Delivery Drivers Needs

Our home delivered meals program depends on hundreds of volunteers throughout our community to deliver meals to our home-bound, elderly clients. With the help of our volunteer network across the region, we are now able to deliver 500 meals per delivery day. Volunteers opportunities are available in every community. Each route takes about an hour to complete.

By volunteering you can:

• Improve a home-bound older adults health by providing a nutritious meal
• Bring comfort to clients by assuring them that someone will check on them
• Make a clients day by sharing a kind word and a smile
• Help an older adult remain in their own home longer

Please arrive at your site between 10:45 AM and 11 :00 AM on the day you are to deliver meals. At your pick-up point you should have 1 or 2 orange and yellow carriers or soft bags, a serving tray, a route sheet, a checklist, a menu and a door hanger. The route sheet will have the directions to your client's homes. It is important to check daily for any changes! Clients can be removed or added daily, so please remember to check your route sheet each time you deliver. Each route takes about an hour. After your last delivery and check out sheet is complete, please return the empty devilry bags to their pick up location.
