Social Media Manager (TikTok, Twitter, FaceBook, Pinterest) - BIPOC needed!

We are Power to BIPOC Youth, a youth-led NGO that aims to amplify the voices of young BIPOC to inspire and educate others. We are looking for new social media managers to help increase our organization’s outreach through our Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, which would drive up interaction , thus heightening our impact across the globe. *Please clarify in your resume or interview which platform(s) you'd like to take over.

As our manager, you would help direct people to our website by creating graphics, videos, etc based on the articles and blog posts our writers publish on the site. For example, you may post a graphic with a quote from one of writer's pieces or you may create a video that summarizes the piece in just a few sentences. In addition to this, you would also post about our organization's upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, as well as topics/issues that you'd personally like to bring attention to.

This position requires skills such as time/task management, content creation, and openness to criticism and new ideas. Additionally, we expect you to attend Zoom meetings with our organization’s founder & Social Media Marketing Coordinator every other week to discuss any updates, content ideas/plans, and different ways to improve the platform. We expect you to commit a minimum of 45 minutes every week towards your position (measured by creating content + weekly meetings/calls + brainstorming, etc).
