Remote Outreach & Administrative Assistant (Community Partnerships)
Location: Remote (with optional local event support)
Commitment: Part-time (flexible hours)
Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, people-oriented Outreach & Administrative Assistant to support our Volunteer Coordinator in building and strengthening relationships within the community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, outreach, and connecting people with purpose-driven work.
The primary focus of this position is community outreach and relationship-building—helping us identify, research, and connect with organizations that align with our mission and may become future partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify community organizations, nonprofits, schools, faith-based groups, and other potential partners
- Locate and document key contacts within organizations (emails, phone numbers, outreach pathways)
- Support outreach efforts by helping draft emails, track communications, and follow up with potential partners
- Create and update flyers and simple promotional materials for community events and volunteer opportunities
- Assist with planning and coordination of outreach and community events
- Attend community events alongside the Volunteer Coordinator when feasible (for candidates local to event locations)
- Maintain organized records of outreach efforts, contacts, and partnership opportunities

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent research and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify decision-makers and appropriate contacts within organizations
- Comfort using basic tools such as email, spreadsheets, and document-sharing platforms
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred (but Not Required)
- Experience with community outreach, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit work
- Basic design experience (Canva or similar tools)
- Availability to attend local community events on occasion
