Working for Parents, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit established in 2021 working for the parents of NYC and NYS.

Our mission is to bring energy and strength to parents by responding to the economic, societal, and structural issues that are affecting their daily lives. Our Vision is that community, businesses, and policymakers synergize to produce an environment where parents feel secure and have the resources needed to support their families.


Our three focus areas are: Economic Mobility & Stability, Workplace Rights for Parents, Mental Health


Position

Working for Parents Employer & Partnerships Engagement Manager is to ensure that we have a robust roster of employers and partners who are dedicated to supporting our mission and vision. The Employer Engagement Manager must perform a variety of duties involving recruitment and retention. We are currently looking to fill 5 openings within this position to cover specific regions within NYC and NYS. The following responsibilities are as follows:

Recruit Employers

  • Research and convert business leads into viable network members
  • Manage the engagement of employer partners in WFP programs such as confirming and sending out forms to collect contributions, trainings fee for service, and annual memberships
  • Identify highly engaged employers with capacity for additional engagement

Recruit Partner Community Based Organizations

  • Research and convert COB leads into viable partnerships
  • Manage the engagement of CBO partners in WFP programs such as confirming and sending out forms on contributions or fee for service
  • Determine the need for partnerships
  • Identify highly engaged CBO’s with capacity for additional engagement

Interdepartmental Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the CEO, Operations, and Programming teams to determine the needs for Employer and CBO Partnerships based on participant career interests and needs.
  • Share impactful Employer and CBO stories with the Communications team
  • Connect with Program managers on participant career interests and must be able to also anticipate these needs and plan accordingly

Network and CBO Meetings

  • Create, plan, and manage quarterly and annual Employer Network and CBO meetings

Create Reports

  • The Employer Engagement Manager will collect data and use the data to create reports, and distribute those reports to key personnel in the organization

Qualifications

This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual who is passionate about Working for Parents, Inc.’s mission. The selected Employer & Partnerships Engagement Manager will have networks within the business, community, government, philanthropy, social services, or the nonprofit sector. His/her accomplishments will allow him/her to attract other well-qualified and interested Employers.

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Extensive professional experience with significant or close network/relationship within

the business, community, government, philanthropy, social services, or the nonprofit sector.

  • A commitment to and understanding of Working for Parents, Inc.’s beneficiaries,

preferably based on experience

  • Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating business relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals in the NPO and Business sectors
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a passion for improving the lives of Working for Parents, Inc.’s beneficiaries

This is solely a volunteer opportunity. As the organization grows there will be an opportunity

for the Employer & Partnerships Engagement Manager to receive compensation.
