At Project Rousseau, we take a holistic approach to our students’ education and development because we believe that academic problems rarely just have academic causes. Our Student Needs pillar is crucial to this approach. Our Student Needs team supports students with any hardships at home and urgent needs. Project Rousseau assists students in coordinating housing, food, and other social services for their families. We also provide a comprehensive support network complete with referrals to medical, legal, and other professionals as required.
We are seeking Spanish-speaking mentors to support our staff in coordinating services for our very highest-need students who speak Spanish as a first (or second) language. Many of these students are newly arrived to the United States and will have fled violence on their path to America.
This position is best for individuals based in NYC who are able to work in person and are willing to meet students at our office (midtown)

All volunteers will be required to undergo a criminal record screening.
This is a voluntary position for between 2 and 10 hours per week.
