Atlanta Angels believe that not everyone is called to foster or adopt, but everyone can make a difference in a child's life. One way you can make an impact is through our Dare to Dream program. The Dare to Dream program focuses on one-on-one mentoring for youth (ages 11-22) who are in foster care, at-risk to age out, or have aged-out. Mentors serve as positive role models who meet with their youth to build relationships and empower them to accomplish their goals. As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to provide youth who are in or have aged out of care with the one-on-one support they need to feel safe, capable, and loved.
This program requires a one-year commitment, with meetings at least twice a month with your mentee.
We are specifically looking for volunteers in or around Cherokee County for youth number #161,
This youth describes himself as a fun, silly, and hard-working 16-year-old who loves basketball, video games, and collecting sneakers.
The first step in the volunteer process is to attend a virtual Discovery Session. You can learn more or sign up here. If you have any questions, please email volunteer@atlantaangels.org or visit our website.
You can schedule to attend a virtual discovery session - we have them most Tuesday at 6pm or Thursday at 12pm. If these times do not work for you, you can also schedule a 1x1 call here.
