Volunteers are needed to help with the daily care of the cats. Two shifts operate daily, one in the morning, and one in the evening. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
Anyone interested in volunteering must attend a one-time orientation. Orientations are offered throughout the month and provide information about the shelter as well as the procedures we follow.
The time commitment is about 3 hours per day, but the actual hours can vary based on your schedule. Even a couple of hours donated weekly or bi-monthly can really help! You can choose to work with our younger cats and kittens, our more mature and lap snuggling cats or hang out with some of our sassy seniors. Our volunteers are committed to giving every cat a lifetime of care and love.
Volunteers should be of general good health as they will need to be able to sweep and bend over to fill food and water bowls. Light lifting is required.
Please note we do not provide community service hours.
