Charity Shop Volunteer

Hetty’s are looking for enthusiastic people who would like to join our team of volunteers who help run our charity shop based in Warsop. The shop helps us to raise much needed funds to support the work we undertake with families affected by a loved one’s substance misuse. If you have an interest in retail and can spare 4 hours a week then we would love to hear from you.

The role is varied and tasks include:

·        Sorting donations as they come in to see what is saleable

·        Pricing items including, clothing, shoes, books, records, CDs and DVDs and bric a brac

·        Steaming clothing items to ensure they are clean and look good before they are put out on the shop floor

·        Sorting through bric a brac items, including researching items on the internet to find prices and information

·        Using a till to ring up customer’s items and take payments, either cash or card

·        Helping to keep the shop clean, tidy and well stocked.

·        Dealing with customer queries and helping them to find items if they are looking for something specific

·        Using Hetty’s social media to promote items for sale
