THE OPEN TABLE ANTIRACISM TRAININGS COORDINATOR VISTA

The Open Table AmeriCorps VISTA supports the purpose of The Open Table Antiracism Trainings, which is to help build a community where everyone belongs, a city where all have the power to pursue their dreams and ambitions, and a people who are committed to each other’s liberation, until all are at the table together. Our hope is to help alleviate poverty by addressing systemic forms of racism that create barriers for many people of color. The AmeriCorps VISTA will help build capacity so that The Open Table can better fulfill its mission. This position will involve developing a marketing and communication plan. This position will also assist in the research and development of new training modules for our trainer cohort so we can meet the needs of new and existing clients.

What You’d Do: 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

-Provide staff support at any events hosted by The Open Table Antiracism Trainings.

-Collaborate with the Organizer to plan and prepare events.

-Assist the Organizer in community engagement events to determine community needs.

-Research and recommend tools to help The Open Table Antiracism Trainings build capacity in an efficient way.

-Develop quarterly meet-ups for existing Antiracism clients. -Develop and build out a shared knowledge base for the antiracism cohort.

-Develop and build out follow up processes to better track outcomes from trainings.

-Assist the Organizer in researching relevant articles, videos, and other resources for use in future trainings.

-Maintain long range planning goals and commitments with data and stories to show progress.

-Manage The Open Table Antiracism Trainings communication and social media presence.
