Volunteer - Blog Writer

Since 2015 femLENS works with local community centres, libraries, activist groups and NGOs providing documentary photography workshops to women and girls from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, organising photo exhibitions and publishing books and magazines.

Our mission is to visually educate and make technologically aware women from diverse backgrounds through documentary photography made accessible by mobile phone cameras.

We are looking for a volunteer blog writer to join our team to write about topics related to photography, education, women's rights and other social justice issues.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and pitch ideas.
• Research, write and edit texts for the website blog and magazine.
• Write at least one piece a month.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• Writing experience a familiarity with the above fields field.
• Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
• Creativity and adaptability.
• Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, MS Office, and SEO keywords.
• Ability to sit and type for extended periods.

Previous experience a must. A commitment of at least six months is required.
