Patient Visit Opportunity Blue Bell

Gentiva Hospice is looking for Direct Patient Care Volunteers to provide companionship to our patients in their homes or nursing facilities, as well as their families. As a volunteer, you may also provide emotional and spiritual support, respite care, or make "Tuck-In Calls" to our patients on a regular basis, particularly prior to weekends and holidays, to ensure that they have adequate supplies on hand. Our Volunteers can help support patients by playing cards, games, or music. Offering to read the newspaper or a book, maybe doing a craft or puzzle would help brighten their day. We connect you with a patient that is close to your home, work or school. Just a few hours a month of your time can really make a difference.
