Outreach Volunteer

Long Way Home is looking for 2 volunteers to help us recruit individuals or groups to join our newly launched Ally Program!

The Ally Program engages people from across the world with classrooms at our Hero School in San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala. Through virtual knowledge exchange over the course of one year, Allies to Hero School learn how our K-11 students are generating local solutions to global challenges in their classroom and in their community! The Ally also raises or donates $2,000 to support the operating costs of Hero School - teacher salaries, student projects, wifi, & electricity.

The Outreach Volunteers for this fundraiser would be in charge of contacting potential allies to enroll them in this program. The Long Way Home team will supply the volunteers with detailed outreach documents, such as: contact lists, email templates, promotional flyers, our Ally Fundraising Toolkit, and weekly catch up calls on Zoom!

This volunteer position seeks a time commitment of 5 hrs per week. All work is conducted virtually.
