Drive Hope Forward: Volunteer to Drive Cancer Patients to Treatment!

Location: Omaha Hope Lodge
Organization: American Cancer Society
Help reduce barriers to care for cancer patients undergoing treatment by becoming a Volunteer Driver with the Hope Lodge Courtesy Shuttle Service. Your time and compassion can make a life-changing difference-ensuring patients get to and from their appointments safely and comfortably.
What You’ll Do:- Transport guests between Hope Lodge and nearby treatment centers
- Drive a Hope Lodge-owned vehicle-no personal car required
- Volunteer shifts available Monday-Friday, 4-8 PM
- Age 19-84
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Pass background and motor vehicle records checks
- Complete online training and sign a confidentiality agreement
- Willingness to wear a mask if asked (to protect immunocompromised guests)
- If a cancer survivor, must be one year post-treatment
Transportation is one of the biggest barriers to care for cancer patients. Your support helps ensure they receive the treatment they need-without added stress or worry.
