Role Overview:

Greenstand is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and strengthen the infrastructure and operations for the Treetracker Wallet Admin Panel. This role will ensure reliable, performant, secure, and scalable deployment and operation of the Wallet Admin client and associated backend services. You will collaborate closely with front-end, back-end, and Dev teams to build, monitor, and maintain the platform that supports Greenstand’s digital token ecosystem and mission-driven applications.

Collaborates with:

Frontend / Admin Client Team, Backend / API / Microservices Teams, Engineering Operations / Security Teams

AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY

• Architect, build, and maintain the infrastructure (cloud or hybrid) that supports the Wallet Admin Panel and its back-end services
• Design and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for admin client and backend microservices
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability for all components
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Optimize performance, reliability, and security of environments (dev, staging, production)
• Manage secrets, configuration, and access control for services
• Assist with scaling and load testing
• Identify bottlenecks, system failures, and points of failure and propose improvements
• Collaborate with developers to streamline deployment and operations practices
• Define and maintain documentation for infrastructure, deployment, runbook, incident response, and disaster recovery

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Strong experience in DevOps/SRE or infrastructure engineering
• Familiarity with cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
• Monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
• Security best practices for infrastructure, secrets management, encryption, access control
• Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and backend services
• Ability to troubleshoot across full stack boundaries
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience working in open source or distributed teams preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certifications in cloud / DevOps / security are a plus (e.g. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CKAD, etc.)
• Prior experience in nonprofit, environmental, or mission-driven tech is a bonus
• Self-starter, able to work independently and lead improvements
