We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Volunteer Coordinator to serve as our Houston point person for an upcoming community outreach event focused on feeding individuals experiencing homelessness.
This role will work closely with the Founder and her Los Angeles-based assistant in the weeks leading up to the event and will serve as the primary on-the-ground contact in Houston.
Event Details
- Date: Saturday, July 11
- Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Location: Houston, TX
- Mission: Community outreach and meal distribution for individuals experiencing homelessness
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers before and during the event
- Assist with volunteer coordination, communication, and check-in
- Help identify and connect with local resources and community partners as needed
- Support event logistics and ensure smooth operations on event day
- Communicate regularly with the Founder and Los Angeles assistant
- Help troubleshoot and solve issues as they arise

- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable and available for the entire event day
- Quick learner who can adapt to changing needs
- Comfortable taking initiative and working independently
- Willing to make calls, send emails, and reach out to community resources
- Passion for serving the community and helping others
- May help run errands the week of and/or the day before with the founder
