The Peer Coach opportunity involves assisting participants who are in our job readiness program with seeking employment or post secondary education, creating a career pathway and managing their case file Conduct participant initial screening and comprehensive assessment of job readiness, strengths, and barriers within a holistic, family development model and establish individual employment plans with participants. Monitor plans regularly with monthly communication to track the participant's progress and making sure they're staying on course with they're chosen pathway. Work with participants to reduce employment and education barriers and risk factors. Refer to, advocate with and coordinate community resources. Provide participants with support services to reduce barriers to employment and ensure accurate documentation of support services. Assist participants with securing full-time and living wage employment through employment-focused comprehensive case management, barrier reduction, work-based learning experiences. We are a small local non-profit who are in search of any individuals with experience in business, HR, employment specialist or has done work in the field of human and social services. Opportunity is scheduled to begin in July and volunteers will be needed Monday-Saturdays with anticipated hours between the times of 10am-6pm (schedules are flexible and can be designed to the volunteers availability).
