About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled volunteer Grant Writer to help Heartizens identify and secure funding that will sustain and grow our programming. This is a meaningful opportunity to directly support a beloved local arts organization while contributing your professional expertise to the community.
As our volunteer Grant Writer, you will:
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and arts councils aligned with our mission
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding narratives
- Help develop and maintain a grants calendar and tracking system
- Work collaboratively with Heartizens leadership to articulate our programs and impact
- Assist with grant reporting for awarded funds as needed
Who We're Looking For
- Experience with grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or related fields (professional or volunteer)
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Passion for community arts, creative placemaking, or cultural programming
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Familiarity with arts or community development funding landscapes is a plus
