Gardeners Needed at Hospital-Based Farm

The Farm at Trinity Health Oakland is one of the nations first hospital-based farms working to improve health outcomes and increase access to healthy foods. The Farm grows a variety of vegetables on the grounds of the hospital and we depend on volunteer help to plant, weed, trellis, trim, and harvest produce that is donated to patients and healthcare providers, and sold to community members at our Farm Stand inside the hospital.

Volunteer shifts are the following:

Sundays 12-3pm: Organizing produce donations and completing light farm work

Wednesdays 9am-12pm: Packing farm share and donation boxes

Thursdays 1-5pm: Farm work such as flipping beds, weeding, seeding, etc.

No farming or gardening experience is required! Farmer Chelsea will walk you through each task and ensure you feel comfortable through each step. This is a great volunteer position for someone who enjoys being outside and getting their hands dirty!
