Volunteering - 20 Simple ways to Volunteer

If you know you need and want to volunteer but feel it might be too much, why not volunteer for a short time with our 20 simple different ways.

Fill out our Volunteer application,

• Orientation
• Meet and visit with patients,
• read the Psalms from the Bible to them,
• play their favorite Big Band music from Youtube on your phone,
• tell a family story,
• tell a funny story,
• paint fingernails,
• fix hair,
• straighten area around bed,
• play an instrument,
• read a short story,
• play a favorite hymn for them from Youtube (Gaithers have 100's if not 1000's of favorite old hymns on Youtube),
• feed a patient,
• give out cookies to our patients,
• brush hair,
• bring a home magazine, woman's day and read an article
• play bingo
• do a craft.

In office; Make copies of important paperwork for medical team, organize binders, paperwork, notebooks, and other desk type articles.

Organize medical supply closet, strategically place things for the team, organize copier supplies, office supplies, and medical team supplies.

Write birthday cards for our patients celebrating a big milestone during the month.

Our medical office needs volunteers like you. Everything you do when you volunteer matters for us.

And compassionate presence (sitting with a patient) This is simple, and people are so appreciative of having someone near them.
