These AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) positions at the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), a large state agency with headquarters in Austin, will provide VISTA members with opportunities to gain professional experience.
VISTA members in the Aging Services AmeriCorps VISTA project will be a part of a team of innovative professionals who work to enhance aging services and programs throughout HHSC. The selected members will work in offices across HHSC on projects that strengthen cross-coordination among offices serving older adults, improve understanding of aging related issues and needs, and increase capacity to provide services for older adults in Texas. The selected members will gain experience in aging services, public health, partnership building, community engagement and will have the opportunity to gain professional experience while working in a state government setting. These positions start on May 9, 2022.

AmeriCorps VISTA is a unique program. You have a chance to live and serve in the community and focus area of your choice.
