Job Title: Press Release Writer
Job Description: Write press releases. If interested, also distribute them and serve as their main media contact. Perfect for people seeking PR experience and wanting to build resumes.
Activities
- Brainstorm with the Executive Director to determine best ideas for upcoming press releases and write them.
- Interview people when necessary.
- Attend monthly committee meeting, often held via Zoom.
- If interested, also submit the release to media and serve as the media contact.
- Be open to writing other pieces, as needed.
- Be open to editing suggestions.
- Use Google Drive and Slack.
