Blanket maker

We are looking for knitters or crocheters in the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point community to volunteer to make blankets. These handmade items are given out to expecting military parents at the completion of our Budget for Baby workshop. If you are interested, please fill out an application at the link provided. If you want to learn how to crochet, we have a class every Friday afternoon.

CHECKLIST FOR A NMCRS BABY BLANKET:

• Blanket must be at least 30X30 inches and no more than 32X32 inches.
• Blankets do not have to be square.
• Due to safety concerns, all chosen patterns must be tightly woven.
• Keep your yarn and blanket clean and smoke-free at all times.
• Due to allergies, keep your work and yarn protected from pets.
• Make your blanket washable by stitching loose yarn ends in. You may YOUTUBE how to do this. A simple knot may hold together only until washed so it should not be used.
• Blanket must be knitted by you!!
