In the IPED Master of Arts, you will study International Economic Relations and Global Development Issues from an advanced interdisciplinary perspective in New York City with a select group of students. Our students have consistently won a variety of prestigious awards, including Fulbrights and Borens. Many have also become Chartered Financial Analyst Scholars, while others have been named U.S. Presidential Management Fellows and International Development Fellows. Our program's focus on an advanced interdisciplinary approach is based on a rigorous foundation of analytical skills and combined with practical field experiences in New York and around the world. We offer funding to assist our students pursue summer professional experiences. We also offer short term study programs in Emerging Markets in South Africa and in Project Assessment in the Philippines.
Students in our program are able to specialized in International Development Studies, Global Environmental & Resource Economics, International & Development Economics, International Business & Finance, and in Finance & Development.
We offer generous fellowships including special fellowships for Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and AmeriCorps Volunteers. We also offer special fellowships for those intending to pursue non-profit sector careers in international relief and development, as well as careers in the in public sector.

40% Private Sector, primarily as international financial analysts or management consultants usually based in New York. Growing number becoming involved in impact investment and green investment.
25% Public Sector, primarily as administrators or analysis or as economists in US government agencies such as the US International Trade Administration, the US Agency for International Development, and the US Foreign Agricultural Service or in UN organizations such as UNICEF, UNDP, or UNHCR.
25% Non-Profit Sector, primarily as project managers and M&E specialists with organizations such as Catholic Relief Services and the International Rescue Committee.
