As a part of Virginia’s largest public research university, the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution prepares our graduate students for further academic work and careers in government agencies, international peacebuilding, the private sector, community centers, educational institutions and other settings where peacebuilding skills are in demand.

Our interdisciplinary faculty are committed to innovative teaching and cutting-edge research, moving the educational experience beyond the classroom. Students gain skills and experience through service and experiential learning opportunities that prepare them for meaningful careers.
