Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000

We provide a wide range of programs and services, including a Home-Life Management Center, Sexual Assault Response Center, financial literacy, homeownership counseling, workforce development, entrepreneur education, youth development, racial justice initiatives, and advocacy efforts.

Job Summary: The Development Relations and Database Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of development databases (donors and grants) and donor communications for YWCA Delaware. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our development efforts by maintaining accurate donor and grant records, implementing donor stewardship strategies, and producing reports and analyses to support development goals.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Manage and maintain the donor database, including gift entry, data integrity, and donor records management.
  • Maintain grants tracker, including award entry, data integrity, and funder records management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely acknowledgment of all donations, including gift processing, thank you letters, and tax receipts.
  • Provide administrative support for the Board of Directors and subcommittee meetings. 
  • Coordinate and implement annual donor appreciation events (donor receptions).
  • Produce regular reports and analyses on fundraising performance, donor trends, and campaign results to support decision-making and goal setting.
  • Work with Grants Director to produce regular reports and analyses on grants progress towards goals to support decision-making and goal setting.
  • Stay informed about best practices in donor relations and database management and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to staff on donor database use and best practices for donor communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business administration, or related field – or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or database management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience with Salesforce is REQUIRED with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • \Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with donors, staff, and volunteers.
