Media Monitor & Video Researcher

American Bridge 21st Century, a progressive research and communications organization dedicated to holding Republicans accountable for their words and actions, is hiring a Media Monitor & Video Researcher to join our Media Monitoring team for the 2024 election cycle. The Media Monitoring team focuses on monitoring and compiling videos of key Republican targets’ words and actions. The Media Monitoring team works closely with all departments in augmenting existing research and looking for creative ways to use the footage we’ve gathered. Ideally, all candidates should have a passion for politics, curiosity for research, and the ability to creatively think outside the box.

 Primary responsibilities include:

• Write daily bullets on a set list of candidates;
• Work with the Video Production and Communications teams to create content;
• Monitor real‐time interviews and news coverage;
• Assist with long‐term research dives;
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to work under tight time constraints and on deadline;
• Self‐motivation and proven ability to work independently;
• Availability for working after typical business hours and on weekends;
• Previous experience with media monitoring software;
• Some video editing experience: QuickTime, Final Cut Pro, or Windows Movie Maker.
