Passaic County Vision 2020, incorporated in 1999, is a grassroots program developed by public-spirited people from all sectors of the Passaic County community to promote economic development, preserve our heritage and to protect our environment. Our goal is to make Passaic County a better place to live, work and play. The organization has:
Run seven prior County fairs
Helped the Great Falls of Paterson to become a national park
Refurbished the Stone Tower in the Garrett Mountain Reservation
Created a playground for disabled children in Goffle Park, Hawthorne
Won a $400,000 State grant for "smart growth" planning Passaic County
Promoted greenways and walkways along the Passaic River.
The organization has no paid staff, but relies on a group of dedicated volunteers.
We are looking for vounteers to help us staff a "Green Tent:" at the Passaic County Fair 2012 from July 18-22 at Garrett Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park, NJ.
