The Whyte Avenue Art Walk, July 15, 16 and 17, 2011 is seeking 60 volunteers for a short 4 hour shifts (10 AM - 2 PM or 2 PM - 6 PM). It is as easy as walking around viewing art and sitting occasionally to watch over artists' spot while they run for a quick break. The event runs along Whyte Avenue from 100 St to 108 Street and spills over into McIntyre Park and Iron Horse Park. It is a visual feast and a fun time for all. You will be support Edmonton's visual artists. Thank you.
Who is the Art Walk?
The Whyte Avenue Art Walk is summer festival in Old Strathcona. It's an outdoor studio and gallery featuring over 300 working artists creating art right in the streets while exhibiting and selling their work. It's purpose is to provide affordable exposure for fine arts to ensure the appreciation, understanding of visual arts as well as encourage the purchase of original art by local artists
