To improve everyone’s health by raising awareness about the role hands play in the spread of infectious diseases:
“Hand Awareness” (hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and cross contamination awareness).

Our Infection Prevention Partnership for Schools has many benefits:
Short term benefits: Reduce student and staff absenteeism due to infections. Train the school community how to prevent the spread of respiratory and gastro-intestinal diseases during the school year by becoming more “Hand Aware”.  Teach the school community the critical understanding about what is the mechanism of entry of all respiratory infections into their body; eyes, nose and mouth, the only portal of entry for ALL respiratory and gastro-intestinal infections.
Long term goal is to train lifelong practitioners of the 4 Principles of Hand Awareness who will be better prepared for their future with these skills. They will perform better in health care, food service, public health, military and other careers where it is critical to be more “Hand Aware”.
