For Gaza Project

For Gaza Project is a new, small collaborative mutual aid fundraising initiative between Palestinians in Gaza and the international community who love and support them. Our shared goal is to support and connect the incredible work, initiatives, and projects created and led by Palestinians in Gaza with funding, support, and amplification from the international community. Our work has been birthed over the past year from collaborative fundraising efforts between Palestinian families on the ground in Gaza and members of the international community.

We stand firmly in the unwavering belief that Palestinians in Gaza know better than anyone else what Palestinians in Gaza need, and are dedicated to collaborating directly as a team with Palestinians in Gaza to center their vision, creativity, ideas, and work with the utmost dignity and respect. We align fully with abolitionist, de-colonial, and resistance led values, and work to remain as accountable and conscious as possible to decolonizing and deconstructing traditional "charity" infrastructure that seeks to center white supremacist values and focuses on Western white saviorism.

Within this context, our centering or a Mutual Aid praxis seeks to center collaboration, solidarity, and being led by the communities in Gaza we work with in a responsible, adaptable, and dynamic way that is beyond the scope of traditional non-profit and charity frameworks.

We currently have 6 nodes of project and distribution support inside of Gaza that we are working to create consistent funding for:

1. Healthcare, Medical Treatments, and Clinic Support
2. Food Distribution
3. Water Distribution
4. Wellness and Mental Health Support Initiatives
5. Cash Aid
6. Housing/Tents and Personal Needs

Our 5 most urgent initiatives include:

1. Connecting a large public free clinic in Southern Gaza to consistent funding and support, and sheltering them under a larger organization and/or with organizations that can work in tandem to provide similar support
2. Funding a skin treatment clinic
3. Food and Water distribution, including renting out a community kitchen in Deir Al-Balah
4. Buying tents, shade tents, and tarps in bulk for distribution to those who are displaced in Southern Gaza
5. Connecting an Children's wellness and mental

Additionally, we aim to serve as an international community point of contact for questions around fundraising for families in Gaza and connecting those in Gaza to other mutual aid and organizational support and advocacy.

Our core 100% volunteer based international team outside of Gaza is composed of a small group of community organizers from within the Palestinian Diaspora and of European American settler ancestry in the PNW of the so-called USA.

We have been working hard over the past year to ensure that donations reach initiatives inside of Gaza, and have a trusted on the ground-team distribution in Gaza that is collaborating with us to ensure that money safely gets into Gaza and is used for community support. We are working diligently to continue to widen our community and organizational network both in and out of Gaza, and are looking for support to help us with this work.
