Nonprofit Communications Intern

Momentum Communications Group is seeking an intern to join our award-winning nonprofit communications team this summer. This is an opportunity to work with the 2020 Nonprofit PR Team of the Year at one of the country’s Top Nonprofit PR Firms (Observer’s 2024 PR Power List).

We work with some of the most impactful nonprofits in the country who are making a difference in education, youth development, health, affordable housing, food insecurity and more. Our highly skilled, passionate team is on the frontlines helping our clients build awareness and influence through the press, social media and digital marketing.

Our culture emphasizes curiosity, listening, creativity, collaboration and excellence. We are looking for engaging writers, nuanced communicators, deep thinkers and passionate collaborators. Responsibilities include:

• Participation in agency meetings and brainstorms
• Research latest news and trends to support clients
• Social media content development, posting and monitoring
• Monitoring, research and analysis of media
• Press clipping
• Media lists development
• Media relations support
• Special projects 
• General account support

Requirements

Applicants should be English/Public Relations/Marketing/Communications/Journalism majors with an interest in social impact work. We are looking for smart, creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, forward-thinking individuals interested in learning about public relations. Candidates must have excellent communication and writing skills.
