Akamae is a co-creation fashion brand connecting people affected by conflict and migration to a global community. We feature handmade jewelry and accessories by refugee artisans. Through connection and Love Akamae co-creates with refugees while they empower themselves through entrepreneurship.
At the heart of Akamae is the belief that we are all connected, all valuable and all Love.
We work to create spaces where people and these values can thrive....spaces where co-creation fashion is made.
Akamae founder, Cara, lives with the remote communities she works with in the Jungle on the Thai Burma border.
Our current focus is connecting fashion designers and refugee artisans to co-create products.
