Minerva Nonprofit Management Consulting is leading the search for an enterprising Director of Advancement for Maria Regina High School located in Hartsdale, NY. This is a full-time on-site position with excellent benefits, pleasant work environment, and reduced summer work hours.  The salary range is $105,000-$115,000.

 

Maria Regina High School is a Middle-States Accredited Catholic school where young women are encouraged to achieve academic excellence, empowered to become compassionate leaders, and enriched with the Spirit to live a life of Charity, Truth and Service to others.

 

With more than 59,000 hours of service completed and $140 million in merit-based scholarships awarded to its graduates in over the last four years, Maria Regina High School's academic and leadership programs empower each student to reach their fullest potential. Rooted in the Catholic faith, students engage in the varied rigorous curriculum that focuses on individualized education. 93% of Maria Regina High School's Faculty & Staff utilize the knowledge attained from their graduate degrees to provide our students with an innovative approach to teaching and learning. Supported by a comprehensive athletic, artistic and extracurricular program, students explore their passions while building essential skills for post-secondary success.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

In partnership with the Principal and Board of Trustees, develop and lead the efforts necessary to generate philanthropic revenue that will further the Mission of Maria Regina High School.

 

·       Overall responsibility for all fundraising efforts, including major and planned gifts, direct mail, foundations, and special events.

·       Create, implement and evolve an annual strategic fundraising plan to grow each fundraising channel, as well as develop other philanthropic resources necessary to support Maria Regina’s mission.

·       Identify, cultivate and sustain relationships with a wide variety of constituencies including current and potential donors, foundations, local businesses and community partners.

·       Responsible for the enhancement of the Maria Regina image by being active and visible among local business leaders and with other professional, civic and private organizations.

·       Plan and operate annual fundraising budget.

·       Create and maintain a workplace environment that is professional, vibrant and adheres to the values of Maria Regina High School.

·       Lead and mentor the Advancement Team, which currently consist of an Associate Director of Alumnae Engagement and a Development Associate.

·       Participate in various parent and/or alumnae committees, including occasional evening meetings

 

 

Qualifications

1.     A bachelor’s degree and three (3) or more years of development and fundraising experience, leadership experience a bonus

2.     Transparent and high integrity leadership and a style that motivates people to perform their best;

3.     Solid, proven budget management skills including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting;

4.     Strong organizational abilities including collaborating, planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation;

5.     Deep understanding and knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations with foundations, individuals, corporations, and other sources;

6.     Experience, interest and a proven track record with major gift fundraising;

7.     Strong written and oral communication skills and appropriate self-confidence and maturity to effectively communicate Maria Regina’s vision at all levels and across organizational lines in a manner inspiring to staff, board, donors and volunteers;

8.     Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff with a “hands-on” orientation to the workplace and supervision, and the humility to be willing to take on any task at any time.
